Plastic Welding Machines & Equipment
Welding machines for plumbers and constructors of installation plants
WIDOS Miniplast/2
The Miniplast/2 is a welding machine for heating element butt welding of PE, PP and PVDF pipes and fittings from OD 20 to OD 110 mm. The basic machine has two large aluminium basic clamping tools which are swivelling up to 15° on each side for the fabrication of segmented bends. By screwing in 4 small reduction inserts, a double clamping is obtained at the smaller diameters. For fittings with short legs, a small fitting clamping tool is available.
Due to the special construction of the pressure build-up device, the machine can be fixed directly at very short pipe ends on walls and sheets. Due to its light and compact construction as well as due to the horizontal and vertical motion, the machine is ideally suited for use in the pipeline system and for installation work. In the case of stationary use, the machine can be fixed in the vice or at the table support.

Welding
machine for heating element socket welding of PE, PP, PB and PVDF tubes
and fittings from OD 20 up to OD 75 mm.
WIDOS 75The motion for the socket welding is controlled by a rack-and-pinion mechanism.
For the accomodation of the workpieces, temper steel prismatic clamping tools are available which make it possible to clamp the workpieces regardless of their diameter. There is a double clamping on the pipe side and a single clamping with insertion stop on the fitting side.
The two tool slides can be axially aligned. For the simple fixing of the pipe and the socket fittings, the machine has an automatic insertion stop. The insertion depth of the welding is limited by a stop.
The electronically controlled heating element (230 V/630 W) which can be swivelled into the machine holds the anti-stick coated heating tools. It can also be removed from the prismatic mount and put into a table locking device for external use. Also available in inches, °F and 110 V.
Plastic
Sheet welding machine
The new plastic welding machine generation of the WIDOS PSM series was developed
in order to satisfy the highest demands in the field of sheet and board
welding of all common thermoplastics. The basic construction of the machine originates from our serial welding machine WIDOS 2500 which has proved its worth a thousand times in the past; the machine tables are moved manually by a small wheel and a powerful spring provides the application of the joining pressure.
For a safe clamping of the sheets we apply an innovative system with threaded spindles that is capable of applying the highest clamping powers in the smallest machine version.
The non-bending heating element with compensation to a possible bending due to heat is highly anti-stick coated and exactly adjusted.

and tensioning chain for each pipe diameter. The tensioning chain is to be
put around the pipe and tightened by means of the chain tensioner. The guidance
vehicle is applied with the hand circular saw. After turning on the motor
the saw is inserted. The pipe is then cut by driving around.
A quick, clean and right-angled cut is the result. Cutting depth up to 60 mm with type 1 and up to 95 mm with type 2.
The easy handling despite a high cutting speed and an optimal safety do make the saw indispensable on each construction site. Chains for standard pipes are available ex warehouse. Special dimensions only on request.
SAWING
SYSTEM RS 315
The band saw WIDOS RS 315 in extra-solid design has been developed particularly
for the exact cutting of plastic pipes up to OD 315 and meets highest requirements
within modern production lines. The extremely solid saw bow is optimized for
operation with low vibration and is driven on precise linear guides. The saw
band drive with high torque performance is switched on over a push button
and stops appr. 3 seconds after releasing the push button. The complete saw bow is mounted on a high loadable turning device angle indicator and can easily be manually swivelled for up to 45° (67,5° on one side) after being unlocked. The later course of the cut is indicated by a line laser (optional accessory).
The pipe support has an extremely solid design so that even heaviest pieces can be clamped safely and displaced with minimal expenditure of force.
The pipe is clamped by means of a clamping belt, an initial adjusting to the pipe dimension is not necessary. Pipe clamping by means of a pneumatic cylinder is possible on request. When using an optional transverse support, a negative radial cut for the fabrication of reduced branches at T- and Y- pieces can be easily performed. The saw bow is mounted on a basic plate, assembling works in the workshop become unnecessary, only the horizontal adjustment by means of adjusting screws has to be carried out.
SAWING INSTALLATION RS 630 / 800 / 1000 / 1200 / 1600
The
sawing installation RS in extra-solid design has been developed particularly
for the exact cutting of plastic pipes and meets highest requirements within
modern production lines. The extremely solid saw bow is optimized for a low vibration and belt sparing operation and is driven by hand wheel on precise linear guides. The band drive with high torque performance is equipped with a break so that any after-running after switching off or after pushing the emergency-off button is avoided. The forward feed is secured against saw forces being too high by means of a safety clutch and totally insensitive to the produced cuttings. The complete forward feed unit is mounted on a high loadable live ring and can easily be turned manually for 45° or 67,5° when being unlocked. The band position and the set angle are displayed on digital devices which can be adjusted to zero very easily by means of pneumatic centering devices.
The pipe supports have an extremely solid design and are 1,8 m long on each side so that even heaviest pieces can be clamped safely and displaced on the exchangeable sliding coatings with minimal expenditure of force. Extensions for the pipe supports are available as option. The pipes are clamped by means of a clamping belt over the complete area to be worked, an initial adjusting to the pipe dimension is not necessary. When using an optional transverse support in connection with an integrated turning of the band and a digital display and locking of the position, a negative radial cut for the fabrication of reduced branches at T- and Y- pieces can be easily performed. Due to the solid base of the complete installation, assembling works in the workshop become unnecessary, only the horizontal adjustment by means of adjusting screws has to be carried out. * With all versions it is possible to move the solid saw bow with a motorized feed on precise linear guides. The digital band index which is included indicates the exact position of the saw band. Attention! This supplement cannot be subsequently built in.

Accessories
mural flange
The
WIDOS mural flanges out of EPDM can be applied in all areas where pipelines
are guided through masonries, walls and floor panels. In case of water, ground
water or an increased ground water level in areas of water streams and rivers,
the mural flange which is placed on the pipe in the middle of the masonry
protects the building against permeating humidity. When dealing with swimming
pools and floor pans, the mural flange protects against leaking water resp.
the underground against leaking liquids.
At the interior wall of the flange, densely fitted key ribs are placed
especially for uneven pipe surfaces. The mural flange is 70 mm wide and
warrants a safe halt with all pipe materials. In case of extreme mounting
conditions, the highly minted profile depth at the leak-proof flange provides
a solid halt in the filling material. The revolving groove externally inserted
on each side provides a correct fit and mounting of the non-corrosive clamping
belts. The elasticity of the mural flange permits a mounting on pipes out
of plastic, stoneware, concrete, casting iron, steel and coated pipes.
Available for pipes from OD 32 up to OD 400, larger dimensions on request.
casing tube
WIDOS
casing tubes are manufactured from a special non-asbestos polymer quartz cement
and appropriate for the installation in wall and ceiling. By the great amount
of selected filling materials like quartz sand, stone flour and cement that
are bound by a special polymer resin, these casing tubes build a very good
interconnection with concrete. They are resistant to pressure water and by
using proven material appropriate for the application in drinking water facilities.
Due to high quality materials it is possible to reach optimally mechanical
properties in comparison to conventional fiber-cement components, especially
high load capacities of impact and peak pressure. WIDOS casing tubes are equipped
with an exterior wall creasing which results in an additional protection against
water permeation due to capillary attraction. The groove resembling shape
and the dimensioning of the fittings correspond to the factory standard of
one of the largest German water suppliers. The interior diameters of the casing
tubes are between 80 mm and 300 mm and available in lengths of up to 1000
mm (other dimensions on request). In case of a supplementary installation,
the casing tubes are longitudinally divided.
ring seal
Before leading pipelines or cables through external walls being above or below
ground level, through ceilings or in so-called sheath tubes, it has to be
made sure that the lead-through areas are permanently sealed. Neither pushing
water nor gas may permeate by the lead-through of the building resp. the protective
pipe sealing.WIDOS Ring-Seal lead-throughs of buildings and sealing inserts enable simple, quick and clean lead-throughs of pipelines and cables through walls, ceilings and sheath tubes. The sealing inserts are designed in pressure-tight form in two steps (20 mWS / 50 mWS) and additionally prevent a transmission of heat and sound.
sani pipe refurbishment
With
WIDOS SANI-Pipe you can securely and permanently seal problematic places/passages
from media pipe to underground. Since the elements are not mechanically fixed
but fastenend with an especially flexible system glue, there is no direct
transmission of the forces which are caused by movement of the media pipes.
They are shaped in a way that transmitted tensions are absorbed. Even in case
of a strong load capacity no cracks will appear within the sealing elements.
At the glued joints no tensions will appear that might interfere the fixation
and lead to an underflow. At the same time, the system glue provides an effective sealing against water due to its excellent adhesive properties. Fixing and sealing of the SANI-Pipe elements is only made in one time saving working step. A further advantage is that they can be also fixed where water lines up - outside on the sealing level. Water cannot thus permeate the component at all. It is already effectively stopped in advance. The outer fixation of the SANI-Pipe elements (out of solid hard plastic) offers an additional protection for the lead-through, especially when using annulus gaskets.

Extrusion Welding
Extrusion
welding is a plastic welding procedure predominantly realized manually by
using continuous fed-in additive. Components with a wall thickness up to
30 mm can be joint in one work step. The procedure is mainly used in apparatus
engineering, container, and piping manufacturing, civil engineering and
canalization and, building industry and groundwater protection in landfills.
The following features characterize hot gas extrusion welding:
. Plastic welding elding is achieved using a type and molding material alike
welding
additive
. The welding additive is homogenous and entirely plasticated
. The fusion surfaces are heated with hot air to welding temperature
. The extruded mass is dispensed and pressed on with a glide shoe
. Compared to hot gas welding shorter work steps and higher density
values are achieved with high seam quality and low residual stress

Special Solutions
Plastic Welding Large-area Moulded Plastic Parts
The Wegener pallet welding system ha been developed for welding large-area
extruded sheets of injection-moulded PP/PE material and essentially consists
of two precisely opposed and parallel guided tools. The vertical tool carriers
clamp the workpieces by means of vacuum technology and guide them to a heating
sword that moves in the central position. The welded moulded part is removed
at the end of the welding cycle and two new extruded sheet halves are inserted.
The system can be equipped with a fully automated feed on request.
Foamed material welding machine SMS
The SMS is specially designed as precisely controlled machine for
low joining forces with thicker materials such as are encountered when welding
foamed materials. The maximum foam thickness that can be welded in the standard
versions is 100 mm.The variety of foamed materials (material, gross density,
gross density distribution), however, means that it is advisable to design
the machine for your specific application case – also available as
a foam bonding machine.
