Our Injection moulding facility is quality and efficiency driven. We recently embarked on a launch into the closure industry with a complete 38mm range including a customized 2-tone 38mm CRC ratchet closure.
Our injection moulding department has a range of machine from 85 Ton to 168 Ton. We make use of the lastest machine technology. Our operations are staffed by a culturally diverse, skilled and experienced team of hands on
employees.
We make use of a state of the art cloud based MRP system (Manufacturing Resource
Planning). This give us visible information at all times, from anywhere, and allows for seamless
production management and system intergration.
Plastic Product Design - CAD Design
We take concepts from an idea to a reality!
We offer a Total Product Manufacturing Service, this service includes Product Design
and Development using the latest CAD Design software.
We then have Product Prototypes
machined or 3D Printed Samples made, once approved we begin Design and Manufacturing of
the Plastic Moulds.
We currently make use of specialised international software specific to plastic design.

Project Management
We also offer a total project management service after the design phase, this service includes having development components machined or 3D Printed samples made, to Manufacturing of the moulds. As well as assisting in finding suitable converters for production.

We have our own CNC orientated toolroom to manufacture high quality, reasonably price
moulds, and High Precision machined parts. We maintain and service moulds including mould
reports and corrective action reports.
Our internal Micro Laser welding department carries out
fast and unique repairs specific to the tool & die industry. We have been benchmarked by a
world renowned German engineering University and received best in class for numerous
disciplines.
Our experience in the art of Tool & Die making exceeds 50 years. We complete all aspects of the trade in-house. From design to prototyping all the way through to the final production.
We also consult for offshore tooling projects on moulds that are too big to handle locally. This service includes mould specifications on design, materials and heat treatments, continuous mould progress reports and inspection visits during the tool trial phase.
Laser Welding Services for Plastic Moulds
We are one of the first companies in South Africa to offer a laser welding service to the Tool & Die industry. We made a substantial investment in a High Quality German Laser welding machine.
Our Laser Welding division set us apart from most toolrooms in South Africa. We weld moulds
for most Toolrooms and manufacturing concerns in South Africa as well as abroad. We have
more than 12 Years experience in this field.
We consistently weld for Big International Brands
such As Tupperware™. It allows us to repair and maintain moulds with a fast turnaround time
to ensure customers remain in production and efficient.
Our service is specifically targeted to split line regeneration and small areas of damage. The method of this laser welding ensures the parts being welded will not bend or deform as there is minimal heat transfer. This allows thinner parts to be welded easily.
CNC Machining Services
Here at Gantec we don’t compromise on quality, we operate highly advanced CNC machinery including CNC machining centres as well as CNC turning.
We recently acquired one of only 2 High-speed DMG-Mori machining centres in South Africa.
This machine allows us to lower machining times while keeping tighter tolerances.
Overall making our moulds less expensive and more accurate.
Mould Monitoring during Production
Gantec is the trademarked owner of Smartmould™ systems. Making moulds intelligent. SmartMould™ offers the latest technological
advancements in tool monitoring systems as well as safety.
Moulds fitted with the SmartMould™ system are able to link up to computers VIA a mini USB
cable output on the mould itself.
Information such as Shot counts, Lifetime cycle time, recent cycle time, Efficiency percentages
and much more.
All of our SmartMoulds™ have built in internal storage that contains all mould data including
drawings, 3d Models, Bill of Materials and Material Certificates. Completely solving the
problem of missing information or filing issues.
The system allows for monitoring of maintenance protocols ensuring tools are serviced on
time, reducing downtime and maintaining efficiency and profitability.
Safety Measures & systems are also built in to the tools on request to prevent damage where
possible. These optional additions include using pressure safety switches, slide positioning
trackers and many more.
